Your role
As a Retail Property Manager, you will be responsible for managing daily maintenance and operational activities while also handling administrative tasks to ensure smooth property operations. Your focus will be on maintaining high standards of property efficiency, tenant satisfaction, and financial oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance and operational performance of a portfolio of retail properties
- Conduct regular property inspections and coordinate repairs, maintenance, and improvements.
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with lease agreements, safety regulations, and property standards
- Develop and implement preventive. maintenance programs to enhance property longevity.
- Monitor and manage budgets, track expenses, and oversee contract negotiations.
- Address tenant maintenance requests and concerns efficiently to ensure high satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the property management and leasing teams to maximize property value and performance.
- Handle administrative duties, including reporting, document management, lease compliance, and financial tracking.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience in real estate maintenance management, retail property management, or commercial property operations.
- Strong administrative skills, including budgeting, documentation, and compliance tracking.
- Knowledge of maintenance processes, vendor management, and contract oversight.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond effectively to maintenance requests.
- Experience with property management software such as Yardi, MRI, or similar.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to travel within the Houston area for site inspections and meetings.
What Sets You Apart
- Experience managing maintenance for a portfolio of retail or commercial properties.
- Background in lease administration and facility compliance.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
